1.Who we are

Transformational Media publishes transformationalmedia.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

2.What we collect

There are two kinds of information on this site: what you choose to send us, and what our analytics tool records automatically.

• Information you send us. When you email us we receive your name, email address, organization and the contents of your message — only what you decide to include.
• Information recorded automatically. Google Analytics records the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your device, browser and operating system, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
• What we do not collect. This site has no accounts, no sign-up, no checkout and no contact form. We do not ask for payment details, and we do not collect sensitive information such as health, religion or political data.

3.Why we collect it

We use this information to understand which pages and topics are useful, to fix and improve the site, and to reply to the inquiries people send us. We do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.

4.Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics places cookies and similar identifiers on your device so it can tell one visit from another. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits by installing the official browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Turning off analytics will not stop you from reading any page on this site.

5.Third parties that help run the site

A few outside services are involved in delivering this site, and each handles some information on our behalf:

• Google Analytics measures visits and page views.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on our pages, which means Google sees the request for those font files.
• Our hosting provider delivers the site and keeps standard server logs.
• Outside sites we link to — LinkedIn, Facebook, Evolutionary Ventures and others — operate under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

6.How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above so the site can function, when we are legally required to, or if the business is sold or reorganized and the information transfers with it.

7.How long we keep it

Emails you send us are kept while we are working together and afterwards as needed for our records. Analytics data is kept for the retention period configured in our analytics account, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

8.Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can opt out of analytics at any time using the browser add-on above. We do not make automated decisions about you and we do not profile you for advertising.

This site is written for professionals and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9.Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable technical and organizational care with the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — only sensible protection.

10.Where information is processed

Our team works in Canada. The services that support this site may process information in Canada and the United States.

11.Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the page and the effective date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update means the updated policy applies.
